The Lincoln Inn Family Restaurant in downtown DeKalb partnered with Feed My Starving Children and MakeADifference2K11 through the month of November 15th, 2012. Last year The Lincoln Inn and it’s customers donated $1,200 to Feed My Starving Children. Help them to do even more this year!
Every day 18,000 children die of starvation or starvation related causes. Founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a non-profit, Christian organization committed to feeding starving children hungry in body and spirit. Working with food scientists, FMSC developed MannaPack Rice that contains over twenty vitamins and minerals. Providing protein from extruded soy nuggets, these meals are inexpensive, easy to transport, contain no filler and are prepared simply by boiling water. They provide everything a child needs to thrive, not just survive.
This November 15th-18th, with the financial and physical support of 3,700 volunteers (local residents and organizations), Make a Difference 2K12 will be packing 750,000 meals at a mobilepack event at The Suter Foods facility in Sycamore Illinois.
Until November 15th, The Lincoln Inn Restaurant will participate by offering all Lincoln Inn customers an opportunity to donate their earned Rewards Points to FMSC. For every purchase with points donated to FMSC, The Lincoln Inn will contribute 10% of the purchase amount to fund this year’s mobilepack event. It is easy to support this event – just tell your server you would like to donate your rewards points to Feed My Starving Children.
It only takes $88 to feed one child for an entire year. Please help in the goal of funding nourishing meals for as many children as possible in the upcoming year.
