“Sycamore High School has a tradition of excellence. We are planning to make this program an annual event where the community can learn more about the writers, musicians, doctors, lawyers and leaders etc. that can trace their education back to Sycamore High School. These are fascinating stories that many people don’t know about in our community. We are honored to have Pete Johnson kick off this program. He played a big part in the high school’s history and in shaping the lives of his students” explained Michelle Donohoe, Executive Director at the Sycamore History Museum.
The event will be held on Tuesday, May 10th at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30) in the auditorium at Sycamore High School. Speakers will include Pete Johnson, former football players, and those who helped with the “new” Engh Football Field. Afterwards, there will be a social hour with light refreshments, and tours of the Hall of Fame and school led by the Key Club. Tickets are $10 per person. They are available at the Sycamore High School, Sycamore Chamber of Commerce and Sycamore History Museum.
