Winter Family Play Day, January 23
This coming Sunday there will be a Winter Scavenger Hunt Challenge and dog sled racing demonstrations at Legacy Campus at 12:15 pm, 1:15 pm, 2:15 pm. After those demonstrations, you have an opportunity to get a photo op with one of the huskies. This event will take place from 12-3 pm.
Self-Care Fair, February 5
The Sycamore Park District will be hosting a Self-Care Fair on the first Saturday of February from 9 am to 1 pm. If you are looking for a bit of self-care to add to your day or need to stretch your legs, this should be the perfect event. Take a look and see the self-care tools members of your community have to offer. Come over and find tips and resources to incorporate into your self-care routine.
Sweetheart Dance, February 20
This Valentine’s Day, maybe you’re a man who wants to spend it with a special little girl in his life. During Sunday of Valentine’s Day weekend, there will be a father-daughter dance with a Valentine’s Day theme for children ages 2-12. There will be music, dancing, and a photo booth so you and your daughter can commemorate your special bond. If you register by the 24th, you can win a free limo ride to the event. The cost is $28 and $33 per resident/non-resident couple. Each additional sibling attending the dance is $8.
Family Dance Party, March 11
Over at the Community Center Gym, you and your family will receive your own section of the gym to follow along to an instructor teaching you some groovy new dance moves. In addition, you receive a goodie bag to bring home with you to keep the fun going. This event can be the whole family or leave the kids at home for a date night. This event starts at 6:00 pm and costs $6 for residents and $8 for non-residents.
Tween Gym Jam: St. Patty’s Party, March 11
A St. Patrick’s Day party for tweens ages 11-14, there will be music, dancing, games, and prizes. Your tween can have a blast with their friends at the Community Center Gym! Come out from 7:30-9:00 pm for a full hour and a half of fun. The cost is $5 with a school ID and $6 without an ID.
