Sycamore, IL – Congratulations to Robyn Tice, recipient of the 2023 Renaissance Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship award will assist Robyn as she completes a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
The Renaissance Education Scholarship Fund provides educational support to those currently in the workforce who wish to pursue their educational dreams. Long-time educator Yvonne Johnson created the Fund in 2007 at the DeKalb County Community Foundation to align with her charitable interests. Yvonne passed away in May of 2023. Her generosity and heart for education continue to live on in DeKalb County.
Robyn Tice and her family reside in Waterman, IL. She has worked at Children’s Learning Center, DeKalb, for almost 13 years. She started there as a teacher and has since moved into the office manager and administrative assistant role. She is a Southern New Hampshire University student and has been invited to the National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi). Robyn is set to graduate in December 2024 with a degree in business administration. She intends to pursue a bachelor’s in marketing next.

“This scholarship will make a tremendous difference in my immediate and long-term plans,” said Robyn. “It’s a blessing, and I can’t adequately describe my gratitude to everyone involved, especially Yvonne. She was an amazing woman, and I am honored and grateful to receive this scholarship. I will continue to work hard and do my best to show my gratitude!”
