Monsanto Fund will assist with Annual Fund Drive, employees from Waterman Monsanto Corn Production recommended Waterman Community Chest to receive a $2,000 grant from the Monsanto Fund. Funds from the grant will be used to benefit organizations that provide services that benefit the citizens and Waterman community. The Waterman Community Chest previously received a Monsanto Fund grant in 2017 to assist with the 2016-2017 Annual Fund Drive. The Waterman Community Chest supports non-profit organizations and groups that provide services for the people in and around the Waterman area. It is a 501(c)3 qualified tax-exempt charitable organization.
“We’re fortunate to have a group like the Waterman Community Chest working in our community” said Troy Dukes, Site Lead at the Waterman Seed Production site. “We’re proud to partner with them and support the great work they do in our community with this Monsanto Fund grant.”
This year, the Monsanto Fund awarded more than $1.4 million to nonprofit organizations in rural communities to help address essential needs in Food & Nutrition, STEM Education, and Community Development. Nonprofit organizations across the U.S. have received more than $7.5 million through this program over the last five years.
