Are you ready to “Walk & Roll”?
This Saturday, September 26, two independent, privately-owned physical therapy clinics will host “Walk & Roll For Mobility,” a 1.6 one-way walk along the DeKalb Nature Trail from Creative Therapeutics, 400 E. Hillcrest Drive in DeKalb, to Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists 232 W. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb office. The event proceeds will benefit the Voluntary Action Center (VAC). Fun for the whole family – bikes, strollers, walking sticks, and skates are all welcome!
“Walk & Roll for Mobility” helps kick-off National Physical Therapy Month in October, and allows both independent clinics to support a non-profit community organization. On event day, check in begins at 8:30am at Creative Therapeutics; a walking stick demonstration will be at 8:40am; a dynamic warm up is at 8:50am; raffle prize winners are drawn at 8:55am; and the walk kicks off at 9:00 am. Walk, ride, or roll from Creative Therapeutics to Northern Rehab along the DeKalb Nature Trail. Enjoy live music and refreshments upon arrival at Northern Rehab. Walk round-trip or one-way at this fundraising event; a VAC bus will be available for optional return transport back to Creative Therapeutics.
Pre-registration is suggested; those who pre-register by Sept. 23 will be entered into a drawing for various prizes. Call 815.758.5508 to register. A suggested donation of $5.00 per individual or $10 per family will be collected the day of the event upon check-in. All funds will go directly to the Voluntary Action Center (VAC).
