THE WALL THAT HEALS is scheduled for display, July 13th – 16th, 2017 at the East Sycamore Park off Airport Road, in Sycamore, Illinois. The Wall That Heals Committee is looking for volunteers to help set the wall up upon arrival on the 12th, help during the display of the wall from the 13th through the 16th and especially help to take it down on the 16th.

To volunteer, go to website www.dekalbcountywall.com.
In 1997 the DeKalb County Chapter of VietNow hosted the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall that Heals in Sycamore. Again in 2007 they brought The Wall back for a second visit. Now they are going to once again have this poignant memorial visit Sycamore to pay respect and honor to the veterans who served in the Vietnam War.
As in the past, they cannot do this without a tremendous amount of support from the community. The cost to get The Wall is $7,500. They will also need funds for additional items, i.e. school field trips, sound equipment rental, chairs, staging, publicity, etc. that will be needed for the event. They have set up an account at Resource Bank entitled, “Vietnam Wall” where donations may be sent. Visit The Wall That Heals website now to learn more.
