Now that the space shuttles are museum pieces, what are NASA’s plans for future American spaceflight? Come to NIU”s STEM Cafés ‘The Future of American Manned Flight’ this Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013 from 6:30-8:30pm to find out. Guest, Joel Knapper, NASA Solar System Ambassador, will reveal the current and future plans to get Americans back into space! Knapper is a trained NASA volunteer who brings information to local communities about the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s explorations and discoveries related to Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, asteroids, comets, Earth, and the solar system.
The event will be held at the Jane Fargo Inn, 335 W. State Street, in Sycamore this Tuesday. STEM Cafés are fun, casual gatherings where adults can eat, drink, and chat with STEM professionals about the latest scientific research and breakthroughs.
