Others participating in the event include teams from Rockford, Grant, Arlington Heights, Lake in the Hills/Antioch, Glenbard, Plainfield, and Chicago. Spectators are invited to stop by and check out the fast-paced action throughout the day. The games begin at 10:00am and will be played at the Kiwanis Fields (near the Sports & Recreation Center located at 1765 S. 4th Street). Members of the NIU Lacrosse Club will also be on hand offering “try it” lacrosse activities from 12:30-2:00pm. Major event sponsors include D. Ryan Tree & Landscape and Taxco Restaurant. This past fall and winter, the Park District began running lacrosse clinics and programs for youth of all ages and looks to grow participation in lacrosse programs for upcoming seasons.
