Mya Lee, Sycamore, signed a Letter of Intent to play softball for Kishwaukee College in the 2017 – 18 season. Lee, who bats and throws right, played Short Stop/2 nd Base for the Spartans. She played Varsity for three years during her high school career. She will be concentrating on general studies as she prepares for a career in assisting children, possibly in radiographic technology. KC Softball signs Indian Creek HS’s Cursio
Elizabeth Cursio from Shabbona, signed a Letter of Intent to play softball for Kishwaukee College on Wednesday, May 24 on campus. Cursio comes to the Kougars from Indian Creek High School where the softball team won the 2017 Indian Creek Regional Championship. Elizabeth, daughter of Tony and Beth Cursio, is a utility player but has played all outfield positions this season for her high school team. She throws right and is a switch-hitter in the batter’s box. Elizabeth received the Spirit and Sportsmanship Award at Indian Creek this year and was awarded the Ken Spears Construction Scholarship at her high school plus the Michael Bennett Scholarship from Kishwaukee College. She plans to study photography and graphic design with a long-range goal of a career in sports photography.
