The National Weather Service has dispatched Damage Survey Teams to assess damage across portions of North Central Illinois today which was sustained from Monday night’s thunderstorms. This includes the cities of Sublette, Mendota and Coal City, Illinois.
Storm reports received last evening indicate these locations sustained the most substantial damage, however, other locations which will likely have damaged assessed include the Harmon, Ottawa, Morris and Braidwood to Momence areas.

The team will establish confirmation of any tornadoes, path length and width, and intensity based on the enhanced fujita scale. Information will be updated as received and can be found in the public information statements or on the top news page at www.weather.gov/chicago.
