Michigan-based singer/songwriter Abigail Stauffer will be performing at Kishwaukee College on April 1, 2015. Her performance will begin at 3:00p.m. in the Student Lounge (C1130) located in the Student Center. This event is free and open to the public.
Abigail Stauffer’s music defies categorization with her albums featuring everything from banjos to hip hop rhythms. Her music is described as folk interwoven with acoustic, pop and neosoul. She has released three albums: Alone To Dream, No Contradictions and her most recent, released in January 2015, Where I’m Going. There will be copies of her CDs available for purchase after the performance.
Her insightful and personal lyrics are brought to life by her lilting, expressive vocals. Among her musical influences, she cites Sufjan Stevens, Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, Jennifer Knapp, Brooke Fraser, Corinne Bailey Rae, Iron and Wine, India.Arie, and Feist. She has toured throughout the Midwest and her music is available at iTunes and other online sources.
