Poolapalooza and Movie in the Park Friday

As part of the DeKalb Park District’s 80th Anniversary celebration, they are hosting their first ever Poolapalooza! this Friday, July 31st, 2015, at 8:00pm at Hopkins Park. Poolapalooza will have various pool-oriented events that family members of all ages can enjoy. Come to the pool, and spectate or participate in: 5:00 pm – Cannonball contest; 5:30 pm – Inner tube water polo; 6:00 pm – Biggest splash contest; 6:30 pm – Canoe Battleship; 7:00 pm – Sharks & Minnows and at 7:30 pm – Canoe Races. Poolapalooza Facebook event page here.

Then, bring blankets, lawn chairs, and a picnic and settle in for a wonderful night of family fun with the Friday Family Movie in the Park starting at 8pm. The family movie will be shown on a GIANT inflatable movie screen in Hopkins Park near the bandshell. The movie that will be showing is Disney’s Big Hero 6.
