Police remain on the scene at and surrounding the Travel Inn (1116 W. Lincoln Highway) in DeKalb investigating a shot fired Friday afternoon.
According to published reports two groups of about five or six people got into a fight in an adjacent parking lot. As one of the groups fled the scene one or more rounds were fired from the gun.
Police said one man was in custody, and two people were injured. One person was allegedly struck with a gun and another suffered a hand injury. Neither required hospitalization.
Police are searching for some those who fled and are interviewing witnesses.
