The Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital Auxiliary recently awarded $12,000 in healthcare career scholarships to deserving students in the area. The recipients are (listed with their field of study and hometowns):
- Blair Wright, of Sandwich – Medicine
- Hailey Engstrom, of Somonauk – Psychology
- Haylie Wolf, of Yorkville – Nurse Practitioner
- Bailee Krantz, of Somonauk – Nursing
- Alyssa Rae Bomba, of Plano – Family Nurse Practitioner
- Rosa Perez, of Plano – Medical Lab Science
- Emily Oldenburg, of Neward – Nursing
Auxiliary scholarships are available to students who live in a community served by Valley West Hospital, including Sandwich, Plano, Earlville, Somonauk, Leland, Yorkville, Bristol, Sheridan, Serena, Newark, Millington, Millbrook, Big Rock, Hinckley and Waterman. The Auxiliary congratulates this year’s winning recipients and wishes them the best of luck in their chosen healthcare field.
The Auxiliary would like to thank our membership and community for all their support throughout the year. Proceeds from fundraising events benefit the hospital and most importantly the Annual Healthcare Scholarship Program.
