Come to the 40th Annual Northern Illinois Art Show at the city lots on the corner of Somonauk and Elm Streets in downtown Sycamore, Illinois this weekend. The show has moved this year from the Sycamore courthouse lawn to the city lots due to courthouse remodeling. The date and times of the event are: Saturday, May 21 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, May 22 from 10am-4pm. This show is presented by the Kishwaukee Valley Art League (KVAL) and primarily sponsored by The National Bank & Trust Company of Sycamore.
Local, regional, and national artists will be showing and selling their artwork in a range of different mediums such as jewelry, painting, drawing, sculpture, yard art, mosaic, glass, fabrics, etc. Music will be performed by the U.S. Navy on May 22 at 1pm & 3pm. Also, KVAL will have a booth showing member artwork.
The Kishwaukee Valley Art League was formed in 1972 to support the arts in the Kishwaukee Valley area. In addition to providing art and craft demonstrations, lectures, workshops, and seminars for everyone interested, the league tries to reach out to the larger community with its philanthropies. Visit the KVAL website for more information.
