Normal Road Closure Scheduled for Tuesday, June 26, 2018
To accommodate work on the Swen/Founders Pedestrian Bridge, Northern Illinois
University (NIU) has scheduled a road closure on Normal Road between Lucinda Avenue
and Locust Street for Tuesday, June 26, 2018. The one-day closure will begin early
morning and may extend until early evening hours. Forecasted rain may cause the work
to be rescheduled for Wednesday, June 27, 2018.
Traffic controls with detours will be in place. Scheduled bus pick-ups and drop-offs will
occur at the bus turnaround on the west side of the Holmes Student Center. The City
asks residents to plan alternate routes.
