Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (PG) is based on a true story of fast-draws and wild rides, battles with posses, train and bank robberies, a torrid love affair and a new lease on outlaw life in faraway Bolivia. It is also a character study of a remarkable friendship between Butch – possibly the most likeable outlaw in frontier history – and his closest associate, the fabled, ever-dangerous Sundance Kid. 1h 50m. This movie will be shown on Friday, December 12.
The French Connection (R) is most famous for its groundbreaking, realistic portrayal of police work and its iconic, gritty car chase scene. A pair of New York City detectives, “Popeye” Doyle and Buddy Russo, discover and relentlessly pursue a massive heroin smuggling operation from Marseille, France. 1h 44m. This movie will be shown on Friday, December 19.
These movies are intended for adults. No registration is required. They will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the lower-level Bilder Family Meeting Room.
