
Around 117,000 people in Kane Country cast their ballots in the first month of early voting, representing more than 2/3 of the county’s 2016 vote total.
The Kane Country Clerk’s office says that as of October 25, mail-in voting was up more than 500% in 2020. Nearly 63,000 voters have mailed in ballots through the first month, compared to 9,424 total mail-in ballots cast during the entire 2016 election.
Additionally, the clerk said more than 53,000 people cast their votes early in person by Oct. 25, which is about three-quarters of the 72,537 early votes cast four years ago. Just over 172,000 votes were cast in Kane County during the 2016 general election.
