Get in on the Healthy Start to School Event this Thursday, August 4th and August 11th from 9am — 7pm each day at the DeKalb County Health Campus, 2550 N. Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb. Sign up now for School/Sports Physicals and Immunizations as well as onsite Dental Services at the Health Department. They will also try to accommodate walk-ins.
Medical Card (Meridian, Harmony, and Illinois Health Connect) and most Private Insurances will be accepted. Call 815-748-2460 for information or for an appointment.
Other events also on August 4th include The Green Living Festival (from 12-2 Thursday) including a Shoe Share Distribution and activities to learn about recycling, clean energy, and gardening. The Green Living Festival is a fun, new educational initiative. This free event will offer hands-on workshops concerning Gardening, Healthy Food Preparation, Zero Waste, Green Cleaning, and Saving Energy. Parents and children are welcome to join four 20-minute workshops in each of these areas. In addition, there will be a Browsing Area, a Tour of the DeKalb County Community Gardens, games, and crafts.
