The DeKalb Police Department would like to introduce the newest member of the police department, “Gee Gee.” “Gee Gee” is a seven year old female Golden Retriever. “Gee Gee” is a licensed therapy dog and her owner, Dave Ball, has graciously volunteered his services to the DeKalb Police Department. “Gee Gee” made her debut today with the DeKalb Police Department during a tour with KinderCare of DeKalb. “Gee Gee” of course was an immediate hit with the children.
“Gee Gee” also volunteers with the Healing Paws Program at Kishwaukee Community Hospital and volunteers at Northern Illinois University as well. When “Gee Gee” is not helping the public relieve stress, she loves spending time outdoors and likes to chase rabbits. The DeKalb Police Department plans to utilize “Gee Gee” at a variety Ball for volunteering his time to help the DeKalb Community.
