Students, get in on STEM Read’s ‘Do you have what it takes to survive?’ this Wednesday, April 5th from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm at the NIU Convocation Center in DeKalb. From natural disasters like volcanoes, earthquakes and shark attacks to human-made events such as the sinking of the Titanic or the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the I Survived series puts the reader at the center of the action.
Join STEM Read, author Lauren Tarshis, and university experts for an immersive, hands-on survival game. Students in grades 4 to 8 will use their quick thinking and creative problem-solving skills to complete a variety of challenges and get their teams out alive. Registration is $15 per student, which includes admission, lunch, and an autographed book. Space is limited – register today!
