The DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board is seeking candidates for an open seat on the Board. The Board’s mission is to ensure that through leadership and funding, the DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board supports access to high quality behavioral healthcare services for DeKalb County residents.
Created by referendum, the Board administers a property tax fund that provides support to these services. In 2016, 44 programs in 15 agencies receive Board support.
Board members are responsible for attending monthly meetings and also are encouraged to serve on one of the Board committees, which include the Finance Committee, Executive Committee, and Outcomes Committee.
The Board is committed to membership that reflects the diversity of the county population. To be eligible, candidates must live in DeKalb County and cannot be employees or board members of any DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board funded agencies.
