Take a break from cooking Thursday, Feb. 26, to enjoy a toasty sandwich, hearty soup or a fresh salad while helping to raise funds for a local cause.
From 4 to 8 p.m., the Potbelly Sandwich Shop at 1013 W. Lincoln Hwy. will donate 25 percent of its sales to DeKalb County Community Gardens.
In its third season, the DeKalb County Community Gardens harvested more than 20,000 pounds of organically grown produce and delivered vegetables to food pantries, elder-living locations and senior centers, low-income housing locations, day care facilities, community meal sites, schools, Hope Haven and Safe Passage.
