The DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association, Inc. (DAAHA) is hosting a Silent Auction to raise funds in support of agricultural educational programming and general museum operations. The Silent Auction is open to the public and takes place on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 10:30 am – 11:45 am at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau 1350 W. Prairie Dr. Sycamore, IL.
DAAHA’s Annual Meeting for DAAHA members will take place immediately following the Silent Auction. The public is invited to become a museum member and attend the Annual Meeting. Auction bidders do not need to be present to win. Photographs of select auction items will be posted on DAAHA’s website, www.daaha.org, on Monday, January 20, 2014. Call in bids on the select items will be accepted January 20 – 22, 2014 at the DAAHA office (815) 756-8737 and January 23, 2014 from 10:30 am – 11:45 am at (815) 508-3554. Auction items may be duplicates of items in the museum collection but are not from the collection.
A wonderful variety of items will be available including DEKALB Ag memorabilia such as embroidered hats, signs, photographs and a collectible 1949 framed calendar; model tractors; Gift basket with wine and cheese; home décor items of corn motif glassware and ceramics; a custom made quilt measuring 55” x 73”; and the new Acres of Change book. Payment for winning bids will be cash or check only. For items that need to be shipped, a $10 shipping charge will be added to the winning bid.
