DeKalb County Deputies were called to 15094 University Rd. in Malta today, (10/31/14) at 8:45am, for a report of a corn crib on fire. Malta, Shabbona and DeKalb Fire Departments responded to the scene.
The corn crib was a loss but the rest of the structures on the property were undamaged. The fire was believed to be started by an electrical line running to the building.
