Michael Embrey has been selected to perform with the Band Directors Marching Band at the January 1st, 2026, Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. This is a special presentation by the “Saluting America’s Band Directors” organization.
On January 1, 2026, Embrey will be joining up with 500 band directors from across the nation in Pasadena, California in this historic and legendary 137th Anniversary parade. He will be assigned to play 1st Trumpet.Michael Embrey has an extensive background in music including being a member of the Cavalier Drum & Bugles Corps, musician/arranger with the US Air Force Band/Drum & Bugle Corps, and former Marching Band Director at Northern Illinois University. He also marched in the 2022 Rose Parade and the 2023 Macy’s Parade in New York City with the Band Directors Marching Band. Michael Embrey lives in DeKalb, Illinois, and owns two companies (International Travel and Special Events Productions).
