The cities of DeKalb, Sycamore and Genoa all proclaim Friday, Saturday and Sunday of July 30, 31 and August 1, 2021 as Veterans Weekend to Honor all Veterans, Senior Citizens, First Responders and Healthcare Workers.
There are several events and activities scheduled from Friday night to Sunday.
Living History Military Encampment at the Genoa Veterans Home all weekend, MEET and GREET at DeKalb AMVETS Post 90 Friday, Veterans and Community Breakfast at HyVee Food Store Saturday, Motorcycle/Motorcade Parade of Vehicles Saturday, Veterans Awareness Fair at the Genoa and Blood Drive at the Veterans Home Saturday and a Veterans and Community Breakfast at the Genoa Veterans Home Sunday.
