What does a 10-year-old budding artist due when required to stay home … create artwork for the neighbors to enjoy. Lily Raih (10) has created a masterpiece on the family front sidewalk.
Lily started small completing one concert square, and with encouragement from family and neighbors moved to the next and the next – now the whole front sidewalk is adorned with the creative work. A cross between abstract and window pain art, the colors and patterns are well coordinated. The vivid colors are unique and present a very interesting mural.
Lily is the daughter of Andy and Hilary Raih. Andy Raih works for the City of DeKalb. “We are so proud of her and her efforts to stick to it”, commented Hilary Raih.
This artwork is available for viewing at 205 Concord Drive in DeKalb. For those wishing to see this masterpiece please practice safe distancing.
The parents are not sure of the future of this little creative genius, but Lily now wants to tackle the entire two-car driveway. “We are excited but not sure we can find the chalk needed for the project”, said Andy Raih.
