The Sycamore Swanson Vacuum Store located at 2682 DeKalb Avenue (HyVee Shopping Center) has announced they will be closing for good, effective immediately.
Swanson Vacuum has been located in the Sycamore/DeKalb area for over 40 years and was the only vacuum repair center for various brands of vacuum cleaners.
Their other location in Machesney Park will remain open. The Sycamore location had hoped to remain open, but with the challenges of COVID-19 and the fact the complex landlord (Pappas Properties) wanted a long term lease, the owners felt it would be best to close the store.
