The 6th Annual Vintage Shop Hop is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 1 & 2, 2019. It’s the mother lode of all vintage road trips…a self-guided day to any number of the 500+ participating VINTAGE shops, BOUTIQUES, BARN SALES, ODDITY SHOPS & HOME DECOR STORES throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
They provide the list of participating vintage and antique shops (see below), and YOU grab your friends and hit the road to shop! You will find farmhouse chic, industrial and automotive relics, architectural salvage, barn wood, piles of windows & doors, vintage & boutique clothing, jewelry old and new, cottage finds, cabin goods, and everything to deck out your she shed, man cave or outdoor bar!
Each year the shop owners roll out the red carpet for you by hosting a fun promotion inside their store. It might be anything from chalk paint demonstrations to jewelry making demo or music on site or a parking lot sale. Some offer a “pop the balloon” to determine your discount. Some give away gift bags to the first people in the store each day. It’s entirely up to the shop owner to decide on what their promotion is…but all make it worth it! They also set their own hours. Some shops continue their offers a day before and a day after the official event dates. Their typical store hours are to open at 9 or 10 a.m. and closing at 5 p.m. or after.
