Snow Accumulation Anticipated Over Next 24 Hours

Message from the Sycamore Fire Department:

“We are anticipating some snow accumulation (1-3” prediction) over the next 24 hours. Please help your first responders by keeping your nearest fire hydrant clear from snow accumulation. If we can’t see the fire hydrant or we can’t get to it because it’s buried under a pile of snow, we can’t use it .

“Please consider clearing snow from a fire hydrant for your neighbors who may have medical conditions, disabilities, or those who are elderly and may be unable to clear the snow themselves. Not only will clearing a fire hydrant be beneficial for your family, but it could be advantageous for any home or business in your neighborhood.”
