Sycamore Park District puts the MORE in Sycamore and, through its annual Park Partners Award, recognizes community members who put the MORE in Sycamore parks. Many individuals, businesses and organizations in the community go above and beyond in their support of or contribution to the Sycamore Park District. The Board of Commissioners is honored to announce Skip Schramer of Service Master Restoration and Cleaning Services by Skip as the 2017 recipient.
Skip and his company have been a long-time supporter of the Sycamore Park District Summer Concert Series. Along with other sponsors, contributors help bring bands to Sycamore and keep the concerts free for everyone. In addition to being a sponsor, Skip attends concerts and on hot summer nights brings out his large floor fans to help cool of the bands and the District’s Food and Beverage staff.
This past year, Skip has been very open to working with the City and Park District regarding the installation of the City’s new paved trail that connects Rte. 64 to the Sports Complex on the west side of Airport Road. While the trail went right through Skip’s parking lot, he willingly made accommodations to his layout and routine in support of the bigger picture: Improved trail connectivity and safety for the community.
Skip and his team at Service Master Restoration and Cleaning Services by Skip have provided the District with years of quality services, from general cleaning to helping with the unplanned aftermath of flood events. He always goes above and beyond to provide good service and support Sycamore Park District operations.
