Marci Ramsey
Let me introduce myself, my name is Marci Ramsey and I am running as a write-in candidate for Hinckley Village Board President.
I have been a Hinckley Resident since 1999 when my husband and I bought our first home. We raised our two boys here and they attended Hinckley-Big Rock High School. Shortly after moving to Hinckley, my husband and I discovered that the Hinckley Fire Protection District was a volunteer organization. We both joined the Department to become active in our new community. I was a volunteer Fire Fighter and EMT. The Hinckley Fire Protection District trained and educated me to be a Paramedic by sponsoring my education and tuition. I stayed on the Department for 5 years and served my community with pride.
I am currently a Paramedic working in the Rockford/Belvidere area for the trauma center responding to 911 emergency calls and as a transport paramedic. I also serve the Northern Illinois Region as a member of the Northern Illinois Preparedness and Response Coalition. This committee helps pre-plan for major disasters and mass casualty incidents. It is very rewarding to serve the Northern Illinois Region, and work closely with State and Local Government, Hospital Planning Committees, and all levels of First Responders.
So why am I running for Hinckley Village Board President?I want to give back to the community that provided my education
- I want to give back to the community that provided my educationI want to build business which will create jobs
- I want to build business which will create jobsI want to ensure that the community has a Village Board that makes decisions based on the good of ENTIRE COMMUNITY
- I want to ensure that the community has a Village Board that makes decisions based on the good of ENTIRE COMMUNITY
- I want to facilitate the Village Board to act as a Leadership Team that works toward community-oriented goals
- I want our Leadership Team to balance the budget and be accountable to the community
- I want clean water and a safe environment
I want to inspire our adult residents to become active in our community and inspire our younger population to get involved. Hinckley needs active citizens and plans for the future. Open Trustee Seats and Open Committee Seats need to be filled by inspired enthusiastic people who care. That is Leadership’s Mission.
While these concepts are easily stated, I know it will take some work to accomplish. This election will be very important because the ballot will be up to you. Please WRITE-IN my name on APRIL 4th
