The DeKalb Area Rental Association (DARA) members are proud stakeholders in this community, and believe it is important to get to know the candidates and their positions on pertinent issues involving DeKalb. The general public is invited to attend DARA’s Meet the Candidates Forum this Sunday, February 26th, 2017, beginning at 2pm. The event will be held in the old ‘Finest Furniture’ storefront at 1500 Sycamore Road (across from Hopkin’s Park).
The event will consist of an informal “Meet and Greet” hour from 2pm to 3pm. Candidates for DeKalb’s Mayoral race, Aldermanic and School Board candidates are invited to attend the Meet and Greet. It will be followed by a Mayoral Q & A session, with “open mic questions” from the audience, and questions from the Candidates.

Introduce each candidate – Candidates have 5 minutes to present
3:30pm Open Mic (6) Questions– Audience first come first serve
(Questions 30 seconds, candidate answers 2 minutes – rotating)
4:30pm Candidates ask (1) Question each to other Candidates –
(Questions 30 seconds, candidate answers 2 minutes – rotating)
5:10pm Conclusion – Candidate Summary Statement – 3 minutes each
5:30pm Adjourn
