The DeKalb Park District will be holding another “Try Lacrosse Day” this coming Saturday, October 17th from 6-8pm at the Sports and Rec Center on South 4th Street in DeKalb. The free clinic will be the second of three that the Park District is holding. “Try Lacrosse Days” gives students from Kindergarten to High School the chance to learn basic lacrosse skills. Experienced coaches and players from the Rockford Lacrosse Club and NIU Lacrosse Club help facilitate the event. Equipment provided allows students to learn about the game and really “try it on.”
Information about full Stampede Lacrosse Clinics scheduled in the coming months is available at the “Try Lacrosse Days”. These clinics are a great starting point for building a DeKalb area team to compete with other lacrosse clubs.
The third “Try Lacrosse Days” event will be held at Kiwanis Park on Saturday, November 12th, from 6-8pm at the Sports and Rec Center. The Park District encourages the public to come try out lacrosse at one of their free clinics.
