
Four Kishwaukee College horticulture students received awards at the ILCA’s 2016 Excellence in Landscape Awards Banquet held on February 4. Four Kishwaukee College horticulture students received awards for their landscape designs at the 2016 Excellence in Landscape Awards Banquet hosted by the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA) on February 4 in Schaumburg.
In the category of Hand Drawn Landscape Design, Dawn James, Rockton, took First Place; Carolyn Drake, DeKalb, took Fourth Place; and Logan Alberts, Stillman Valley, took Fifth Place. In the Category of Computer-Assisted Design (CAD)/Dynascape, Charles Koeppen, Genoa, took First Place.
Matt Ewert, Landscape Design faculty, said, “I am very proud of these students. The collegiate landscape design competition held by the ILCA is open to all two- and four-year colleges in Illinois. Our students did outstanding work!”
