On January 30, 2016, the DeKalb Police Department took a report of a child that was sexually assaulted. The child was interviewed by a child forensic interviewer on February 2, 2016. The child disclosed that he/she was made to perform sexual acts on the suspect, Robert Childress. Robert Childress is the brother of the child’s babysitter. The child has been forced to perform sexual acts on Robert Childress since October 2015. The child is under twelve years of age.
Robert Childress, 22 years of age, resides in the 800 block of Crane Drive, DeKalb. Robert Childress was charged with four counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault (Class X Felony). Robert Childress was transported to the DeKalb County Jail where his bail will be set by a DeKalb County Judge.
There are no other known victims at this time.
