The Kishwaukee College Center for Business Development and Continuing Education is offering a workshop series, The True Leader – Leadership Development Program during the spring semester. The sequence of seven four-hour classes progress through the stages of leadership development. There will be one class per month, meeting from 8:00a.m. – noon in room A1222 at Kishwaukee College. Each class costs $199.
The first three classes are:
Leadership vs. Management – this class meets on January 26. Instructor Bo Boger will cover how to move from managing tasks and productivity to creating and executing a vision.
Leadership that Works for Everyone- DISC – this class meets on February 23 and has a February 5 registration deadline. There will be an additional $35 charge for DISC Assessment. Instructor Rick Lochner will cover communication and, through use of DISC Assessment, lead participants to an understanding of their own communication style and how they must adapt it to communicate successfully with their employees. (Note: participants will receive their DISC Assessment on February 9 and must have it completed and returned by February 16 in order for the results to be reviewed and analyzed by the instructor prior to the class meeting.)
Emotional Intelligence – this class meets on March 30. Instructor Al Ritter will cover the importance of understanding emotions in employee motivation, satisfaction and productivity.
