
The Kishwaukee College Forensics Team will be holding a Showcase of Champions on Monday, April 27 from 6 – 7:30p.m. and Tuesday, April 28 from 3:30 – 5:00p.m. in Jenkins Auditorium on campus.
The Kishwaukee College Forensics Team will be holding a Forensics Showcase of Champions on Monday, April 27 from 6 – 7:30p.m. and Tuesday, April 28 from 3:30 – 5:00p.m. in Jenkins Auditorium on campus. The team is requesting $3.00 minimum donation at the door from all attendees to benefit tornado relief efforts in Ogle and DeKalb counties. The performance is open to the public; some topics may contain sensitive themes and may not be suitable for children.
The Kishwaukee College Forensics team will be performing the showcase after returning from the Phi Rho Pi National Tournament in Cleveland on April 5 – 12. The team finished the tournament ranked in the top 15 of community college forensics teams in the nation; there were 85 community colleges competing at the event. Kishwaukee College had three National Finalists: Hayden Perkins, Dominic Johnson, and JD Deutsch.
Individual awards received at the National Tournament were: Hayden Perkins – Silver Medalist in Prose Interpretation; Dominic Johnson – Silver Medalist in Dramatic Interpretation; and JD Deutsch – Bronze Medalist in International Public Debate.
The Kishwaukee College Forensics Team is coached by Chase Budziak, Director of Forensics, and Kacy Abeln, Assistant Director of Forensics.
