Creative Therapeutics and Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists recently presented a donation check to the Voluntary Action Center of DeKalb County. The funds were raised at the recent “Walk & Roll for Mobility” fundraising event held this past October. Both independent physical therapy clinics teamed together to celebrate National Physical Therapy month and organized “Walk & Roll for Mobility”, a walk along the DeKalb Nature Trail to enjoy and support our community to be active.
“We chose the Voluntary Action Center as the recipient of this fundraiser because their various programs support the needs in our community” comments Lynn Batalden of Creative Therapeutics. The inaugural event was a success with over 30 participants walking, rolling, strolling and riding along the trail on a cool fall day. Ken Olson of Northern Rehab adds, “We are thrilled to present the Voluntary Action Center with a check for $1,000.00 and to support their programs such as Meals on Wheels, Community Dinners, TransVAC and MedVAC.”
