On 9/6/14, officers from the DeKalb Police Department, NIU Police Department, and the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department responded for a large fight in the 900 block of Greenbrier Rd. During that fight, multiple victims required medical assistance for serious head and facial injuries. The investigation showed that a large group of subjects tried to enter a party at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, 919 Greenbrier Rd. The subjects were turned away and a verbal altercation escalated into a series of fights between the fraternity members and the group. During those fights, Rory Rhynes and Lo Angelo Harvey battered a victim while on a public way and causing significant injury. The other participants, from both the fraternity and the group attempting to enter the party, were identified as mutually fighting, though not causing significant injuries.
The DeKalb Police Department was assisted by the NIU Police Department in this investigation.

Rory Rhynes – 2000 Driftwood Ave, Lynwood IL, 19 years old – Aggravated Battery, Class 4 felony – Bond $35,000 – 10% to apply
Lo Angelo Harvey – 400 Lake Court, Country Club Hills IL, 19 years old – Aggravated Battery, Class 4 felony – Bond $35,000 – 10% to apply

Steven Plotke – 900 Greenbrier Rd, DeKalb IL, 21 years old – Fighting in the City – City Ordinance Violation
Elijah Graham – 17600 Locust St, Lansing IL, 19 years old – Fighting in the City – City Ordinance Violation
Antoine Jimerson – 2300 Richton Square Rd, Richton Park IL, 18 years old – Fighting in the City – City Ordinance Violation
