Many people enjoy walking and driving through Sycamore’s Historic District. Just as many people would love to get a glimpse inside some of these beautiful homes. Those who go on the Pumpkin Fest Historic Homes Tour during Pumpkin Fest on October 26th will have an opportunity to visit six historic locations in Sycamore. Join Steve Bigolin during this Thursday’s October 3rd Brown Bag Lunch as he gives a history of the House Walk, the interesting history connected to this year’s homes, and even a sneak preview of what might be featured next year.
“The Historic Homes Tour is a great event. This year’s theme is ‘Movers and Shakers.’ Due to the generosity of home owners, the Sycamore History Museum is able to share local history in the space where some extraordinary people lived. Visitors truly enjoy discovering the stories connected to these amazing buildings in our community. Steve Bigoiln is part of a committee that has been working hard make the House Walk a very successful fund raiser for the Museum,” explained Michelle Donahoe, Executive Director of the Sycamore History Museum.
The Brown Bag Lunch will be held at the Sycamore History Museum, 1730 N. Main Street in Sycamore this Thursday at 12:pm. Bring your own ‘brown bag’ lunch. The event is offered for free but donations to the museum are always welcome.

Steve Bigolin owes my family authentic pictures of family that he claimed to “borrow” and he actually stole. He has not given them back for years and we would like them back.
