My name is Robert Snow. I am proud to have been born and raised in the DeKalb community which has always been my permanent residence.
DeKalb is a community rich in not only educational opportunities, but also offers a great living environment. Opportunities for growth exist but must be managed carefully and efficiently. We must not abandon our friendly, small town atmosphere. N.I.U. and the City of DeKalb must work toward the common goals of safety and economic development.
I am running for the City Council because I strongly believe that DeKalb needs integrity and sound leadership. My administrative background coupled with years of experience in business, civic, and community organizations make me uniquely qualified to represent the 4th Ward in DeKalb as Alderman.
My wife, Pamela, and I raised our four children, Kimberly, Kelli, Jeremy and Jonathan, in this community. After earning my Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College I returned to my hometown of DeKalb. My association with Northern Illinois University included being a graduate student and employee. I worked as an Accountant with the Grants Fiscal Administration Office, Business Manager for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Assistant to the Dean for the College of Law. I, along with my wife Pamela, own and manage the Parkside Bed & Breakfast. I am an Associate with the firm of Jacobson & Snow Ltd., a small business accounting and tax service located in DeKalb.
