The fun starts tonight in Genoa as they kick off their 77th Annual Genoa Days, sponsored by the Genoa-Kingston Fire Department. Genoa Days runs from Wednesday, June 13 through Saturday, June 16, 2012 and features carnival rides from Skinners Amusements and nightly entertainment. Both the Carnival and Bingo, sponsored by the Genoa Lions Club, start each evening at 6pm. From 6-10pm tonight there will be a DJ from WPKJ playing. The Genoa Days King & Queen Contest will be at 8:00pm tonight on the main stage.
On Thursday, June 14, the band Tow will play from 6:30-9:30pm. Thursday is also Family Night. Kids wristbands for the carnival rides are only $15 each from 6pm-10pm. Friday June 15 come hear The Infringements from 6:30-9:30pm. At 9:45pm Friday watch the awesome first fireworks of the summer at Chamberlain Park!
Saturday, June 16th is the Bretts Run/Walk -5k starting at 8:30am at the Genoa-Kingston High School, 980 Park Avenue in Genoa. Watch the 4H Children’s Pet Show at 10:30 am Saturday. 1pm Saturday is the Genoa Days King & Queen Parade through Genoa. At 3:30 -4:30pm, watch Grandmaster Sean Marbutt perform a Karate Demo. 4:30pm marks the start of the always fun to watch Water Fights (Fire Departments only), held at the east end of the carnival. Saturday evening concludes with a great show by Shooter (Band) from 7pm-10pm.
