The DeKalb Public Library is hosting two special presentations this week in honor of Veterans Day. Both of these events are free and all ages are welcome, perfect for students. There is no registration required. The DeKalb Public Library is located at 309 Oak Street in DeKalb.
This Tuesday, November 8th, come to the DeKalb Library to hear an educational and intereting presentation by local U.S. Navy veteran Foster E. Looney. Hear Foster’s story of his time as a dive bomber pilot in the Navy over the Pacific during World War II. He will be bringing items from his time during the war.
On Thursday, listen to a living history presentation by Don Schoo. This educational and entertaining account of Don’s experiences in the Army — from the D-Day beach landing in Normandy to his stories of fellow soldiers — will delight and enlighten all ages.
