(DeKalb) – Have you been curious about the history of your home? When was it built? Who lived there? Or have you wondered if there is a historic picture of your house? While simple questions, figuring out where to start can be intimidating, especially when many resources that provide these answers are not online. Join us at the DeKalb Public Library on Wednesday, September 17, at 6:00 p.m., to learn more about how to start researching your home and/or property.
The Joiner History Room’s Archival and Collection specialist, Rob Glover, along with volunteer Russ Johnson, will explore how to begin researching property in DeKalb County. They will talk about online resources but also share the wealth of information in the History Center’s archives.
This program is intended for adults. No registration is required. It will be held in the lower-level Yusunas Meeting Room.
