The Genoa Community Women’s Club is sponsoring the 29th annual show to benefit the college scholarship fund for graduating high school seniors. Plan to attend the 29th annual Wonderful World of Christmas Craft & Vendor Show this Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Genoa-Kingston High School, 980 Park Ave., on Route 72 (just west of Genoa, IL) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Join them for a fun day of shopping and socializing! Over 120 talented crafters and vendors will display their items and make your holiday shopping a snap – maybe something even for yourself! Both new and returning crafters and vendors are from over 20 towns. You’ll find everything from American doll clothes, hand painted wood signs, vinyl signs and ornaments, knit and crochet items, to self-protection items, purses, candles and delicious food items. Yummy bake sales and a food court will tempt you. Over 300 grab bag gifts will be available.
Santa will arrive at 11:30 and stay until 1:00 to hear special wishes – bring your camera.
Admission is $2.00 for adults and .50 for children. There are over 100 instant chances to win door prizes donated by crafters and vendors. A 50/50 cash drawing will take place at the end of the show plus a beautiful hand-crocheted afghan drawing.
This event is sponsored by the Genoa Community Women’s Club to benefit the club college scholarship fund. Scholarships are awarded each year to deserving G-K graduating high school seniors. Last year 4 students were awarded $2,000 each. The club also donates money throughout the year to community/area programs and people in need of help. In April the club will hold Bunco for Breast Cancer benefit to support local hospice and cancer centers.
They are excited to be celebrating our 70th year as a club. Monthly meetings are held at 6:30 pm the 4th Tues. of each month at the Resource Bank (lower level) in Genoa. They welcome all women from the Genoa, Kingston and surrounding towns to help them make a difference in the community. For more information about our meetings, contact call Gail 815-784-2050 or Sandy 815-784-2684.
