This event is sponsored by the Genoa Community Women’s Club to benefit the club college scholarship fund. Scholarships are awarded each year to deserving G-K graduating high school seniors. Last year 4 students were awarded $1,700 each. The club also donates money throughout the year to community/area programs and people in need of help. In April the club will hold a Bunco for Breast Cancer benefit to support local cancer centers.
The members of the Genoa Community Women’s Club are excited to be celebrating their 68th year as a club. Monthly meetings are held at 6:30 pm the 4th Tues. of each month at the Resource Bank (lower level) in Genoa. All women from the Genoa, Kingston and surrounding towns are welcome to help them make a difference in the community. For more information about their meetings contact call 815-761-0515.
