Winter is here! Our dog walks have become more torturous with the snow and ice. One common issue we see in our grooming department every winter is cracked, brittle nails on the dogs. We have a few tips to keep your dogs nails in tip top shape.
1. Keep your dog on a regular schedule for nail trimming. We recommend once a month in the winter time. If you are not able to trim them, our groomers would be happy to help.
A walk in nail trim is $10.
2. Up the Omega 3 Fatty Acids in your dogs diet. Many of our customers use fish oil and vitamin E to do this.
3. Check with your vet to be sure your dog food has the proper amount of calcium in his diet.
We hope these tips help keep our furry friends from a painful nail break.
